We—Guckenheimer employees—work hard because we provide gourmet food with service that is a cut above the rest. We take pride in what we do. And that is why we are coming together to improve our working conditions.
As employees, we often face:
- Resistance from managers to use our sick days. Some have even cancelled and rescheduled our doctor’s appointments.
- Harassment and unnecessary verbal abuse from managers while on the job.
What we want is respect on the job and to make life better for ourselves and our families. That is why we want to form a union with UNITE HERE. And we want the chance for our co-workers to decide for themselves if they want a union. We are asking for a fair, expedited process free from management interference.
